The Islamic Society is organising a day out at Zipit Forest Adventures in Farran Forest Park, Cork. The event is open to everyone. You don’t need to be a member of the Islamic Society, or of any society, to come along. Members, non-members, are all welcome.
Zipit is a high-ropes and zip-line adventure course set in the trees of Farran Forest Park, on the southern shore of Inniscarra Lake, about 20 minutes from Cork City. Participants make their way through the forest canopy on a series of obstacles and zip lines. The session lasts about 3 hours and is challenging but fun, with 6 circuits ranging from 1 metre to 15 metres high. You can go at your own pace, so it suits both beginners and people who want more of a challenge. It includes safety equipment and a briefing before starting. Time to explore Farran Forest Park, which has walking trails, a deer enclosure and a duck pond, with great views over the lake.
Food and drinks are not included but they have a cabin shop on site, where they sell hot and cold drinks, so people have to bring their own lunch or money.
