General Terms and Conditions
Definitions
Event: An event is a specific organised ticketed activity offered for sale on the events.cit.ie website. It includes, but is not limited to: concerts, recitals, theatre, drama, music, competitions, seminars, workshops, conferences, balls, examinations, courses, outings, fairs, club/society memberships
Ticket: This is a single admission or receipt for entry to or participation in an Event
Order: This can comprise of a single or multiple tickets, including multiple ticket types purchased in a single transaction for an event.
Ticket Type: This refers to the classification of the ticket and is used to distinguish the level or type of access or participation in an event. It is also used to set different prices. Examples include: Standard, Student, OAP, Concession, Complementary (for price based differentiation) or timeslot, delegate type at a conference or one or two day access etc. Each ticket has one ticket type attached to it.
Receipt: Certain Events maybe created as a means for collecting fees or contributions and in these instances, a receipt is issued in the place of ticket. The receipt is a record of payment for the order and can is issued in the place of individual tickets, where tickets are not required.
Refunds
Tickets and payments for Events can be cancelled in advance, but notice to the organiser.
The General Refund Policy is as follows:
- Cancellation notified 48 in advance: Full refund
- Cancellation notified 24 hours in advance: 50% Refund
- Cancellation within 24 hours: No refund
- In addition events may have specific cancellation and refund conditions and these will be stated on the Event booking page.
Transferability
In general, where tickets are issued in the name of a party, then they are non-transferrable. Transferability is at the discretion of the Event organiser.
