The Merchant of Venice Musical Comedy Show blends together Shakespeare’s classic text with theme-based debates on Justice vs. Mercy, Prejudice, Love, Law, Religion and The Need for Wealth. All served up with generous helping of laughter, playful audience engagement and, of course, toe-tapping musical numbers that would make even Shylock bust a move!
Featuring the talented pianist and lyricist Wike Schippers and direction by Peadar Donohoe (whose previous Merchant of Venice production was acclaimed ‘show of the year’ by The Examiner), this adaptation of The Merchant of Venice promises to deepen your appreciation and enjoyment of one of the Bard’s greatest comedies.
