The National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI) Open Day will take place on Thursday the 7th of November 2024 from 10:00 to 15:30 in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. Come and meet NMCI students and staff and find out more about the fantastic range of unique courses available. As part of your visit, we invite you to take a tour of the state-of-the-art training facilities and attend maritime careers exhibition representing international shipping companies and maritime organisations.

Today, Ireland is experiencing a very positive and transformational change in our relationship with the sea. Over the coming decades, Ireland will become a key provider of clean offshore renewable energy to Europe and our maritime transport and security activities will continue to evolve because of the energy transition and geopolitics including Brexit. Never before have there been so many maritime professional opportunities in Ireland open to young adults. Many of those maritime careers start with a professional seafaring qualification and degree from NMCI.
